A Letter to My Roommate

Dear Roommate,

I know life has lately been a race for you, a rough race. But then you are not a mule, you are a horse. A horse who is destined to win. While I cheer for you as I watch you race, there is one thing I want you to remember – You are allowed to pause, breathe, feel, and cherish.

All this time I have seen you trans-forming. Sometimes falling, not apart but instead into something different with a new capacity to be more beautiful. You are a gem. Ignore people who think they know more about you than you do. Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Fall in love with you. Sometimes all that matters is that you are still part of the race. So get that chin up and make the best day of your life.

Remember how you cheered me up with your poetic words when I felt broken enough to stand straight and fight the odds.

Dear Roommate here is a little something for you –

You are an ocean,
A soft breeze,
A home,
A night full of stars
A poem
A book
A painting
A Universe.

You are a lot to decipher.

I hope you paint these words on the wall of your room and keep fighting the odds. Because if there is one thing that I can tell you ~ Give it a fight : β€˜Better an oops than a what if’.

Life will stay a roller coaster even if it ends up being the same as your dream. In fact we all love a roller coaster ride, I mean remember how you used to force your dad to take you to that adventure park just so you can take a ride of that scariest swing and scream your heart out. Remember how you enjoyed it. So take a chill pill and enjoy the free ride that life is giving you before it turns too mundane that you end up rushing to that adventure park to pay for it again. πŸ˜€
Till then save your money and travel the world and keep having the best coffee from places around. πŸ˜‰

With Love,
Your Roommate
